Meet The Team
Tina Ho
Tina is responsible for the overall strategic planning, investor relations, operations and financial activities of the company. She has 12+ years of experience in real estate investment and development, marketing and management consulting for small businesses. She is an Advisor to Homebit, a tech-enabled platform designed to provide proactive care so homeownership is easier, safer and more equitable. She also advises other minority and women-led startups in real estate tech. Tina is a Charter and Board member of OPEN Houston and OPEN Global, an organization that empowers entrepreneurship and innovation through networking and collaboration. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors at Shifa USA, an non-profit organization that supports the underserved community through medical, mental health and social services.
Hira Wasti
Partner + COO
Hira leads the operations at Loopston. She works closely with the CEO to grow revenue and is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operational strategies including business development, vendor and third-party contractor management. Her focus is improving performance to optimize budgeting at each project to meet the targeted return of investment. She is also responsible for training new recruits through Loopston’s apprenticeship program, which empowers women and minorities who traditionally don’t have access to mentorship opportunities.
With her experience and academic knowledge in accounting, Hira brings a unique combination of financial and operational excellence. Hira also serves on the Executive Committee at OPEN Houston and Shifa USA.
Sajid Sharif
Sajid is the Co-founder of Title Butler, an online title agency and escrow services provider. He is currently General Counsel at Stratum Energy and was previously a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and an associate at Vinson & Elkins LLP. Sajid holds a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
Maria Tariq
Head of Marketing
Maria is a writer and content creator passionate about women’s empowerment. She heads marketing at Loopston as well as Posana Health, a non-profit healthcare organization. She has a background in creative and legal writing, and runs her own website.
Richard Thomas
Richard leads commercial construction and development. He has 20+ years of experience building and developing retail and commercial projects including malls, gas stations, community centers, and office buildings totaling more than 1,000,000 square foot.
Richard has lived and started various businesses in Sri Lanka, Singapore and India.
Raya Guruswamy
Raya is responsible for business strategy and growth. He has 12+ years of experience comprising a range of industries including: mining, infrastructure, LNG, refinery and petrochemicals, at the Engineering and Construction phase. He has advised and developed projects where clients have expanded or exported their products/services to emerging markets.
Raya is an active member of the American Petroleum Institute (API) Houston chapter and Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). He received his Bachelor of Science in Energy – Business – Finance (EBF) and Geography from Penn State University and Masters of Science in Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. He completed an MBA at IE Business School (Madrid, Spain).
